Black velvet leatherleaf slug (Belocaulus angustipes) is a mollusk pest of wide variety of plants. It is a native of South America and was first detected in Florida in 2005.

This velvety black color slug is usually seen only during wet weather, spending most of its life foraging at night in leaf litter or in the soil.
