Bacterial wilt; Southern bacterial wilt (Ralstonia solanacearum race 3 biovar 2) is a bacterial pathogen. It was first detected in New York in 2003.
This is a pathogen of Geranium and Solanaceous crop plants including potato, eggplant, and tomato. Wilting begins with lower leaves and petioles and works its way up the plant. Eventually the entire plant collapses and dies. .
