Fusarium blight

Fusarium graminearum

Fusarium blight (Fusarium graminearum) is a fungal pathogen of corn, wheat, barley and rice. It was first detected in Virginia in 1987.

Infested grain can cause large yield losses and often produces a toxin that is harmful to both humans and livestock.
