Dodder

Cuscuta monogyna

Dodder (Cuscuta monogyna) is a parasitic plant.

The pest infests mainly woody species eg.grapevine, olive , but also sunflower, several species of Artemisia and other herbaceous plants. It has no chlorophyll and cannot make its own food by photosynthesis. Instead, it grows on other plants, using their nutrients for its growth and weakening the host plant.

For more information about this plant pest, see the CABI data sheet.
