Yellow peach moth; Castor capsule borer (Conogethes punctiferalis) is an insect pest of fruit trees and crop plants. It is a native of Asia and Australia and was first detected in Hawaii in 2002.
The larval caterpillar damages shoots, stems, fruits and blooms of several plants. Plants known to be damaged are cocoa, durian, cotton, corn, and ginger.
