Potato psyllid (Bactericera cockerelli) is an insect pest of Potato, tomato, solanaceous plants. It is a native of Mexico and Central America and was first detected in California in 1940.

As a pest it causes feeding damage, but more importantly it transmits Candidatus Liberibacter solanacearum to solanaceous plants.
