Ips calligraphus

Sixspined Ips (Ips calligraphus) is an insect pest. It was first detected in New York in 2001.

Ips beetles usually attack weakened, dying, or recently felled trees and fresh logging debris and cause the loss of an estimated 6.6 million board feet and 1.1 million cords of pine timber in the South.
