City longhorned beetle (Aeolesthes sarta) is an insect pest of forest, ornamental, and fruit trees. It is a native of Central Asia.
This longhorn beetle is one of the most important insect pests of trees in Central Asia. Several generations tunnel into the wood and a heavy infestation can kill a tree within 2-4 years. This is just one of many forest pests that are moved to un-infested forests by humans moving firewood. Help protect our forests: don't move firewood!
For more information about this plant pest, see the CAPS data sheet and the CABI data sheet.
