Leatherleaf slugs (Laevicaulis spp.) is a mollusk pest of various vegetable and fruit plants. It is a native of Africa and was first detected in Hawaii.
This pest feeds on many plants including tomatoes, cucumber, apples, spinach, and dill. These slugs may act as intermediate hosts for the roundworm that causes rat lungworm.
