Citrus greening huanglongbing (Brazilian (Candidatus Liberibacter americanus) is a bacterial pathogen of citrus. It was first detected in Puerto Rico in 2010.
Huanglongbing is one of the most serious diseases of citrus. The causal agent is a noncultured, sieve tube-restricted a-proteobacterium. This pathogen is vectored by Diaphorina citri, a psyllid.
