European stone fruit yellows (Candidatus Phytoplasma prunorum 16SrX-F) is a phytoplasm of apricots and other prunus species.
Infection by this pathogen causes yellowing, leaf curl, and branch dieback. Infection usually occurs in the winter, leading to growth symptoms occurring the following spring. Wild prunus species act as reservoirs for infectious phytoplasm, which is then picked up by the insect vector.
