Asian corn borer (Ostrinia furnacalis) is an insect pest of corn. It is a native of Asia and was first detected in Guam in 1997.

The Asian Corn Borer is a major pests of agricultural crops, especially corn. It's range extends from China to Australia. Larval caterpillars start eating corn leaves and then infest stalks and eventually corn ears. Pesticides, as well as egg parasitoids, are commonly used for control.
