Lobate lac scale

Paratachardina pseudolobata

Lobate lac scale (Paratachardina pseudolobata) is an insect pest of woody trees and shrubs. It is a native of Asia and was first detected in Florida in 1999.

This insect prefers to infest smaller twigs and branches. Heavy infestations can cause branch dieback of the host.
