Ring nematode

Mesocriconema xenoplax

Ring nematode (Mesocriconema xenoplax) is a nematode pest. It was first detected in Alaska in 2004.

This Ring nematode affects peach, grape, almond, apricot, cherry, plum and walnut, also lettuce, carnation, and pine. At high population densities, this nematode can cause extensive root pruning which stresses the plant and reduces yields.
