Soybean dwarf (SbDV) (Luteovirus Soybean Dwarf Virus) is a viral pathogen of Leguminous species. It is a native of Asia and was first detected in Wisconsin in 2003.
Soybean dwarf virus (SbDV) causes widespread economic losses on soybean in Japan. It causes yellowing in young leafs and plants become stunted. In 2000, the Asian soybean aphid, which colonizes soybean plants and transmits SbDV was discovered in North America for the first time.
